Depression-feeling low and sad

Depression is a medical condition that affects the way you think, feel and behave.

This often results in feeling unhappy, demotivated, loss of sleep, loss of appetite and a general sense of feeling lost.

Those suffering feel they no longer enjoy the things they once did. Depression can be triggered by events such as the death of a loved one, relationship breakdowns, job redundancies, being a new parent and many other factors.

Having depression symptoms can make you feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel and you have no motivation to do anything, almost like there is a dark cloud just following you everywhere.

I know and understand how it feels having experienced this myself, there are so many people who feel like this and suffer in silence, so you are not alone. I can assure you, there is a way to overcome depression. Finding the tools and acting on the things you will learn with expert therapy, you can change your tomorrow; by doing something different today.

I will help you step-by-step. I can't promise miracles, as there is no magic pill. But I will be there, providing you with a trusting environment to work through your issues together with a tried and tested technique. This does not work for everyone, as you have will need to do what is required.

The obvious approach for this would be Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). However, I do use other approaches to help understand what has triggered the depression and what is it that is fuelling the problem.
